Next Door Home Services is a complement to your existing home security system. We provide peace of mind — knowing that your home is being properly cared for and offering the appearance of a secure, occupied home. We can also help you forward security/alarm calls directly to us. If a false alarm, actual break-in, or fire issue occurs, we'll address the problem personally and contact the proper authorities immediately.

Question: What services do you offer?

A thorough interior and exterior inspection is made of your home, concentrating on points of entry, overall appearance, safety and security, and minor concerns that could potentially become major problems.

Question: Can you customize my unique situation?

Yes. The homeowner sets the frequency and scope of home inspections. A basic plan is offered and priced according to the size of your home. Additional services are negotiated with you, and according to your individual needs.

Question: How do I know my home was inspected?

A standardized form is carefully followed during every home inspection. A copy of the dated, signed form includes personal comments following the inspection, and is forwarded to the homeowner via US mail, email, or facsimile. Photographs of points of concern may be emailed wherever you are in the world. See our downloadable checklist for a sample form that you can print, fill-out, and mail. We will then contact you to arrange a customized plan.

Question: Can you provide an example where your services met a real crisis?

Yes! A faulty plumbing fixture caused a water leak in a Kingston home being managed by Next Door Home Services. Although the damage found was significant, had we not addressed it right away, it would have been catastrophic when the homeowners returned nine months later. As it was, we coordinated the clean up and repaired it to the original state prior to their arrival.
